Given that Ash Wednesday is the first day of Lent and is a day of fast and abstinence, ashes will be available ONLY at the following Masses: SACRED HEART at 8 a.m. (Ordinary Form) and 11:30 a.m. (Extraordinary Form, with confessions at 10:45 a.m.). PRESENTATION at 6:30 p.m. (Ordinary Form). STATIONS OF THE CROSS: Fridays at P.B.V.M. after 8 a.m. Mass and at Sacred Heart at 6:30 p.m. BIBLE REFLECTION SERIES: Sats. 2/25, 3/4, 3/11 at St. Leo's Hall, 10:30 a.m.-12 noon. Free of charge.

To God the glory: Presentation-Sacred Heart Parish is the FIRST in the Archdiocese of New York to establish units of the Seven Sisters Apostolate (www.sevensistersapostolate.org) and its male equivalent, the Fasting Brothers. Dozens of local Catholics have committed to pray or fast for specific priests (these teams also may pray for bishops). The anchoresses of the local Seven Sisters teams are C. Parrinello, L. Cranston, A. Killian and the anchor of the Fasting Brothers is Dcn. Timothy Dean. Our anchor and anchoresses are the contact people for anyone interested in joining these apostolates.
